About StopTrappingBackwards

Hello, my name is Cameron Felton I'm a multimedia artist and musician out of Raleigh, NC. I started my art journey in Charlotte, NC in early 2024 just doing graffiti and tagging around the city. It quickly grew into something more than just a hobby and I wanted to expand on my creativity. My roommate at the time was an artist already and pushed me to just go for it so I did. I came up with the phrase StopTrappingBackwards from me not feeling like I was maximizing my potential in music as well as other areas in life.
"StopTrappingBackwards" means stop doing things to hurt yourself, similar to the phrase "don't hustle backwards."  Because I feel like a lot of my community has hurt themselves by hustling backwards although not all from our own doing, I want us to be proud to be Black and really understand the power we hold within oursleves as minorities in this country. STB helps embody the change helps understand why there needs to change while  still embracing your imperfections.
